Tasting Notes:
A red wine blend made from the Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and St. Laurent grape varieties. The grapes for this blend are grown in our vineyards in the Palatinate region. Following traditional fermentation on the skins, the wine ages for several months in pre-filled 225-liter oak barrels. This gives the wine its velvety tannin structure and distinctive fruit character. The wood aromas are completely subdued in this wine, present only as a subtle hint of tobacco. The red wine forms the link between our premium and superior red wines.
