Winery Story

Château Fonplégade is a biodynamically farmed estate in the Saint-Émilion region of Bordeaux, France, owned by Denise and Stephen Adams since 2004. The family-owned estate boasts a prestigious 45.5-acre vineyard of diverse soils, hand-farmed using organic and biodynamic practices to produce elegant Merlot and Cabernet Franc wines, known for their complexity, balance, and sophisticated minerality. The estate's name comes from a historic 13th-century stone fountain on the property, and it has a history of grapevines dating back to the late 1500s.
